What do our competitors offer?

The old saying "you get what you pay for" is really appropriate in billboard advertising. When you advertise on one of ROA's billboards, you get the absolute best.

There is a reason ROA's competitors may offer you a "deal" on one of their billboards. Much like real estate where the most important factor is location, the same is true with billboards. In addition to location, visibility is the icing on the cake. If the billboard is not clearly visible to those driving by, it will not be an effective billboard even if it is in a great location, and hence, it will no be cost effective.

If the billboard you rent is only partially visible, or worse yet not visible until the last second, it is no different than if your target audience were deaf people and you made the decision to spend your advertising money on radio advertising. Advertising on a billboard that no one can read, will not work.  Regardless of the low monthly rent, it is a very costly billboard.

Before you contract for space on a billboard it is imperative that you drive by the location and see how that locations "reads". If you have to look for the billboard because it is obscured by other signs, vegetation, etc. your potential customer or client will not have time to read your message.

There is a reason that billboard rents vary from company to company and from one billboard location to another. It all depends upon the location and the visibility of the billboard. Take a look at the Visibility and Low Cost pages linked to on the left and compare these locations to ROA's locations. Are you really saving any money if you spend $100 less per month on a location that no one sees or maybe worse on a location that give your business an image associated with a dilapidated rundown billboard?
